The Boyce Thompson Arboretrum State Park is a state nature preserve and botanical garden in Superior, Arizona.
Known as Arizona?s oldest and largest botanical garden, the Boyce Thompson Arboretrum State Park contains the largest collection of the state?s native vegeatation. Founded by William Boyce Thompson, a mining magnate who dedicated a large portion of his personal finances for the advancement of plant utilization in industry, the Arboretrum covers over 323 acres of botanical collection generally accessible through a 2.4 kilometer main trail. There are innovative and educational plant displays in the park and guided tours are often available.
The Boyce Thompson Arboretrum State Park is currently jointly managed by a tripartite agreement of the University of Arizona, Arizona State Parks, and Boyce Thompson Arboretrum, inc, a non-profit organization.
