Ghost towns could be nonexistent nowadays, but Oatman is an exception. This municipality is the only municipality in the country that actually practices the Old Wild West lifestyle. The original population was 200. No tourist would come in this side of Arizona except if they know what they will precisely encounter.

Aside from the old-fashioned buildings and antique stores, the place is exceptionally unique and can easily be distinguished because of burros freely roaming around the area. Oatman is also the sole municipality in the country to exercise gunfights. So if tourists manage to arrive at the place a little after in the afternoon, expect to witness a real gunfight, only that some bullets are blank.

The original residents used to be gold miners but when industrialization took place and when roads were paved, they moved out.
