Even up to the present age, nobody knows the purpose of Casa Grande for having it build. Some says that it must be established by Indian ancestors as an astronomical observatory but the only known fact is that it is a 70-year old big, brown Indian ruin lying in the middle of nowhere.
The WPA built a huge umbrella to protect Casa Grande from melting. The organization cost $28,000 to build the protective umbrella. And now, its annual repaint would cost $38,000.
Despite its unknown purpose, Casa Grande remains a tourist attraction and a place that is enveloped in humorous trivia.
