KEEPERS OF THE WILD . . Valentine, AZ

About 35 miles outside of Kingman,AZ on historic route 66 is an animal rescue called "Keepers of the Wild". I want to tell that at first it seemed expensive. When we came out we were all saying "WOW!" It was WELL worth the money. The tour is AWESOME and each animal's story is told, not just a bunch of animal statistics about the breed. This rescue is a nonprofit org. If you are not local and not used to the AZ heat, plan your trip accordingly but any trip to the Grand Canyon or through AZ is well worth a side trip to visit this rescue. This rescue gives close up views of animals that the average person woulld never otherwise be able to enjoy.

This is actually a "rescue" not a zoo. Each animal is at the rescue for life and never traded or sold. They also do not breed there.
