It may not seem like something children would enjoy, but give the Percival Lowell Observatory a try, and you may be surprised at just how fun and exciting the observatory can be for the whole family. The observatory works both as a research center and outreach program. It has a telescope that’s as tall as a seven-story building. Other amazing space equipment you can enjoy would be the Alvan Clark refractor.

There’s also the mini-planetarium, where guests can enjoy live and interactive presentations, and many other multimedia programs displayed in wide-screen monitors.

If you like what you’ve seen in the Lowell Observatory, you may also want to visit the Kitt Peak Observatory in New Mexico.
