The Roper Lake State Park is a state recreational facility and park in Safford, Arizona. Its main feature is the 32 acre reservoir known as Roper Lake and smaller 15 acre pond named Dankworth Pond.
The Roper Lake State Park is most popular for its bountiful fishing. The park has a boat ramp for those who wish to bring their own boats for their fishing trips. However, because of the size of the lake, only small electric motors are allowed on the water. The lake is stocked with bass and trout. Fish species commonly caught in the lake include rainbow trout, largemouth bass, sunfish, and channel catfish.
The park also has other amenities like hiking trails, a beach, campgrounds, cabins and a natural stone hot tub, popular to visitors after a hike.
