Created by Grover Cleveland Thompson after getting inspired with the Petersen Rock Garden in Oregon, the Sunnyslope Rock Garden is a very impressive folk art collection that has taken 22 years to be completed by the artist. It used different materials like pottery shards, seashells, colored glass, clay tiles, concrete, ceramic, china, and bits of Fiestaware.

Visitors can see Thompson?s arches, busts, and walls inside the Sunnyslope Rock Garden. There also used to be fountains and windmills that were once fully functional, but the harsh outdoor elements and lack of maintenance have damaged them through time, leaving the pieces only for display today.

The Sunnyslope Rock Garden is now open to the public every first Friday of the month. Admission is free, although, donations are welcome.
