The Sunset Crater National Monument features the Sunset Crater Volcano, which was born out of a series of eruptions that range between 1040 and 1100. Numerous explosions deeply affected the lifestyles of local people and changed the entire scenery of the place. All the lava flows still looked as though they are fresh since those days it was formed.

But amongst all these, you would find an abundant supply of wildflowers, trees and other amazing signs of wildlife. The crater volcano also features a volcanic cinder cone that measures about 1000 feet. You can also get to enjoy their lava flow trail that is self guided and comes in a loop shape. All you need to do is pick some trail guide and explore the exciting landscape of the place.
