The Landmark Restaurant is a family owned restaurant that stands true to its name. It is considered as one of the oldest buildings in Mesa City, Arizona and appropriately listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The first Landmark building was constructed in 1908 as a meeting house utilized by Mormons. Today, it is used as the main dining room of the restaurant. It was in 1939 that the church was extended and looked more like how it is today.

Before it actually became the Landmark Restaurant in 1981, it also functioned as an insurance office, a community college, and another restaurant under the name Rouch’s Schoolhouse Restaurant in 1972.

Originally opened by the Ellis family, the historic Landmark Restaurant is now a popular wedding and event venue that offers Mid-western cuisine and can house at least a hundred people or more.
