The President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site is a National Historic Places Registry site, significant for being the very residence where the 42nd United States president was born in 1946. It was also the very place where former President Bill Clinton spent the first four years of his life.

Owned by Clinton’s grandparents, James Eldridge Cassidy and Edith Grisham, it was where the old couple took care of the young president while his mother worked in New Orleans as an anesthetist. It was a modest two-story white framed house that also served as Clinton’s summer house while he was young.

It is now a unit managed by the National Park System, offering tours conducted by the Clinton Birthplace Foundation.
