The Rohwer War Relocation Center served as an internment camp during the World Wide II. It held thousands of Japanese Americans that were evacuated from California. It is also the home to the Rohwer War Relocation Center Cemetery.

There are various buildings, some still currently in used by the locals, which stand erect in this complex. Included in this list are monuments, the most notable being the tank-shaped one in memory of the Japanese Americans who fought for the US. The names of those who died in action are inscribed in this concrete monument. There is also a gymnasium/auditorium in the site, which is still being used by the local elementary school.

The Rohwer War Relocation Center was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1992.
