The Queensland Art Gallery is located in Stanley Place, near the Brisbane River at South Bank. It is an art gallery-type with great collections and different exhibitions. The aim of the gallery is to entice many people to visit and see the cultural and artistic development in Australia. Unique attractions can be sighted to give visitors more interest and present it in a way that will capture anyone?s attention.

The gallery was established in 1895 and was known that time as ?Queensland National Art Gallery.? From then, the gallery was not housed permanently. It was moved from one premise to another, until it was opened in Brisbane?s South Bank in 1982. Since the time it was opened in this highly acclaimed building, more and more people are drawn to visit it. In the early 90?s, a second building was conceptualized.

Today, visiting Queensland Art Gallery will show off its visitors with different display of collections ? the Asian, Australian and International collections. Current exhibitions will let people relate the present in Australia from its history. Various works of art are presented to amaze and inform visitors of the Australian heritage. The gallery is also presented to educate children with museum-based learning programs. There won?t be any hassle at any time of the visit. The gallery is open for viewing from Monday to Sunday.

The goal of Queensland Art Gallery is to give connection between people and art. It is known as the leading art museum that highlights visual arts of the present and past of Australia.
