Architecture and design go hand-in-hand. The 21st century saw the growing interest in and evolution of these two art disciplines. In order to highlight and promote these two, a museum with a modern-sounding name and building was established in Los Angeles, California. This is the A+D Museum.

Located on Wilshire Boulevard in Museum Row in downtown Los Angeles, the A+D Museum aims to ?celebrate and promote? awareness and appreciation about the role of architecture and design in ?everyday life through exhibits, educational programs, and public outreach? not only to the architecture and design community, but the general public, as well.

Among the museum?s main exhibits are: After the Flood, an architectural showcase in response to the 2005 Hurricane Katrina destruction; LA Now, a visionary model for future Los Angeles; and Public Works, architectural designs for the LA public works by LA-based architects.
