The Admiral William Standley State Recreation Area is a state park and recreational area in Westport, California. It features the Eel River and is most popular for fishing.

The Admiral William Standley State Recreation Area is named after the noted and distinguished Admiral William Standley. Admiral Standley served in the US Navy as early as the WWI. He commandeered the battleship California in 1926 to 1927 and then commanded the US battle fleet at San Pedro, Los Angeles. He was then appointed as the Chief of Naval Operations in 1933 and then became an ambassador to the Soviet Union in 1942-1943.

The Admiral William Standley State Recreation Area features 45 acres of land are famous for fishing, hiking, and picnicking.
