The Annadel State Park is a state park and national park in Sonoma County, California. It covers five thousand acres of area.

Founded in 1971, the Annadel State Park also has a very rich history. Its rock formations are its most popular features, tracing its roots back to its volcanic origins, to it being a Native American home, and an early 1900s cobblestone mining location. The area is also abundant in plant life and is home to numerous plant communities.

Visitors of the Annadel State Park can also enjoy several outdoor recreational activities like hiking, picnicking, wildlife viewing, biking, fishing, and horseback riding. Tours are also available.

Sadly, the Annadel State Park is one of the 70 California state parks slated to be shut down in 2012 in answer to the state?s budget cuts.
