The Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park is a state park and recreation area in Lancaster, California. It was created in 1988 in efforts to preserve and protect the stand of native Joshua trees and junipers that once grew abundantly in the area. Sadly, most of the growth are now gone as the area has already been developed for farming and housing.

Located just five miles from the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve, the Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park now operates as a day use park that is most popular for picnicking, wildlife viewing, and hiking. It is named after Arthur ?Archie? Ripley, the man who donated the property to the state of California to be turned into a state park.
