The Austin Creek State Recreation Area is a wilderness and recreation area in Sonoma County, California. It is located adjacent to the Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve and is pretty remote, giving it an authentic natural feel and setup.

Offering a diverse topography and a widely varied environment, the Austin Creek State Recreation Area features grassy hillsides, ravines, oak capped knolls, and a great view of the Pacific Ocean at its rocky summits. Folks can also find the remnants of the Pond Farm, an old artists? colony that was located in the area back in the mid 1900s.

To get to the Austin Creek State Recreation Area, take the entry of the Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve as they share the same access entrance.
