The Bethany Reservoir State Recreation Area is a state park and recreation area in Byron, California. It is best known for the wide range of water-related recreational activities that it has to offer.

Situated in the northernmost part of the San Joaquin Valley, the Bethany Reservoir State Recreation Area offers a pretty good amount of outdoor recreation options to its visitors. The most popular among them, however, are boating, wind surfing, and fishing. Biking is also popular at the site, especially since it has a bike trail that goes along the California Aqueduct Bikeway.

Aside from the outdoor recreation, the Bethany Reservoir State Recreation Area is also a scenic location. It has many windmills, offering an interesting view to visitors.
