The California State Capitol Museum is a museum and legislative venue in Sacramento, California. It is actually the state?s working seat of government, opened to the public to give them a view of their administration.

The California State Capitol Museum features the state capitol as its main piece. Built in 1869, the structure is still in use for housing the public offices. The whole building is considered a part of the museum, so tours around it are commonly held and seen. However, the heart of the museum is considered to be located at the basement and first floor of the structure, so most of the tour-related stuff is held there.

The California State Capitol Museum is also located in the same complex with the Capitol Park where several attractions can also be found.
