Big Fun. This is how the people of California describe their state fair. Indeed, almost a million people participate in what can be considered the biggest state fair in the nation in terms of attendance and venue. Held every July in Sacramento fairgrounds, this summer festivity celebrates the food, sports, tourism, and everything that makes California the entertainment capital of the nation. For the 2011 fair, the theme is ?The Fun Just Got Bigger?.

Under the administration of the California Exposition, the state fair is trying to break new grounds by teaming up other agencies, such as California Travel and Tourism Commission, California Auto Museum, US Bicycling Hall of Fame, etc. in order to bring the best state fair in the nation.

Focusing on adventure and fun, the fair?s attractions include a Monorail ride, several theme rides, and the usual food booths, cultural shows, trade fairs, and competitions. There are also tribute concerts and shows.
