The Castle Rock State Park is a state park in Los Gatos, California. This 3600-acre park is commonly confused with the Castle Rock Park located in the San Francisco Bay Area due to their almost similar names.
Situated near the city of Saratoga, the Castle Rock State Park is a great outdoor location, being mostly composed of a natural forest composed of coast redwood, madrone, and Douglas fir. The forest is described ?natural? because it was not altered in any way, as the governing bodies left it in its ?wild? state. This adds charm to the site, making it more authentic.
The Castle Rock State Park is popular for hiking, camping, rock climbing, bouldering, sightseeing, horseback riding, and overnight backpacking.
