The Chumash Painted Cave State Historic Park is a historic area and state park in Santa Barbara, California. It features a small cave carved into towering sandstone boulders filled with the finest surviving rock art created by the Chumash peoples.

Established as a state park in order to protect the site from being destroyed, the Chumash Painted Cave State Historic Park is an exquisite souvenir of the old Native American culture. According to anthropologists, the art works may have been created up to almost 1000 years ago.

Listed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1972, the Chumash Painted Cave State Historic Park is a great place to learn more about history. The site is open as a day use park.
