Established on the 17th of December in 1998, the Discovery Science Center was initially called the Taco Bell Discovery Science Center. This popular landmark can?t be missed with its 10-feet storey high solar cube rising over Interstate. Funded by civic leaders of Orange County in Santa Ana, California, the concept of building a discovery museum was started in 1984 by the Experience Center and the Boards of the Exploratory Learning Center. These groups wanted to put up a first-class informal learning center about science and history and their efforts were rewarded when the 59,000 square feet science center was launched.

The Discovery Science Center consists of over a hundred interactive science exhibits and is arranged according to theme such as the Techno Arts, Air and Space, Dynamic Earth, Discovery Stadium, Perception, Quake Zone, Kid Station and the Digital Lab.
