The Gaviota State Park is a state park and recreation area in Gaviota, California. It offers a pretty varied natural setting, allowing visitors to enjoy a good amount of outdoor activities.
Like several other state parks in the country, the Gaviota State Park was created to preserve some natural areas. In the case of this park, the site is actually home to one of the highest quality riparian habitats that still exist in the southern regions of Santa Barbara County. There are also some oak woodlands and a chaparral ecosystem in the site.
Among the top things that can be enjoyed at the Gaviota State Park are swimming, hiking, horseback riding, biking, fishing, surfing, and picnicking. Camping is also done at the park but if you?ll be using a tent, be warned of the harsh winds during the night time.
