The Heber Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area is a state park and recreation area in Holtville, California. One of the six state vehicular recreation areas (SVRA) in California, this one also offers a venue for off-road recreation.
What sets the Heber Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area from the other SVRAs in California is the fact that it has a diverse environment. Its main attractions are its sand dunes and rich vegetation, composed largely of tamarisk trees. Its unique setting makes it seem like the park is an island amongst a sea of agricultural fields.
Visitors at the site will enjoy various trails through the sand dunes. This 343 acre park welcomes ATVs, buggies, motorcycles, and other off road motor vehicles.
