The Hendy Woods State Park is a state park and recreation area in Philo, California. It is best known for its excellent natural set up.

Offering 845 acres of area, the Hendy Woods State Park is a popular place for camping. A lot of people go to this site for its great campground, which is often described and appreciated for its peace and quiet. The site is also well known for its hiking trails.

The main highlight, however, of the Hendy Woods State Park is its old growth Coast Redwood groves. It has two virgin groves, the Big and Small Hendy. These areas help the site stay cool despite the summer heat.

Aside from camping and hiking, folks can also enjoy fishing, wildlife viewing and even swimming at the Navarro River, which runs through the length of the park.
