The La Habra Children's Museum opened in December 1977. Found in a historic 1923 Train Depot, the Museum features 7 galleries as well as 14 different hands-on exhibits, with most of them considered to be one-of-a-kind and unique. Aside from the exhibits, visitors to the Museum get to have additional reasons to feel the excitement. Outside, one can marvel at the impressive dinosaur topiary and historic 1942 caboose. The Museum showcases 4 different exhibits throughout the year to provide a new experience to the public. The Museum also provides playtime for the children through its kid-size carousel, T-Rex's footprints trail, Arctic fox pet, pump gas, the children?s bus, and many more. They can even play dress up to perform and dig to find fossils.

It was the 1st children's museum to be opened in the west of the Rocky Mountains, and in the 1970?s, it was among the few children?s museums established in the West Coast.

Everyone, from local to national and international visitors, is welcome to the La Habra Children?s Museum. By showing the importance of incorporating play to learning, the Museum is able to provide children a venue they can look forward to as they develop their skills, creativity, and many more.
