The Madonna Inn is a charming motel in San Luis Obispo, California. It is best known for being a landmark in the Central Coast of California.

Named after its creator, Alex Madonna, a construction magnate and entrepreneur, and wife, Phyllis, the Madonna Inn has been around since 1958 and providing a great lodging venue for families. The structure is designed in a Swiss-Alps theme, emulating the feel of a mountain getaway. Its interiors are lavishly decorated with Western murals and hammered copper.

Offering 109 guest rooms, the Madonna Inn is also considered as a “wacky and tacky” site. Its men’s room waterfall urinal is also world famous, with tourists stopping at the inn just to see it. Aside from this, the site also offers a restaurant and a bakery.
