The Marina State Beach is a state park and beach in Marina, California. It is famous among folks looking for great winds, as there is plenty around this area.

Originally a part of the decommissioned Fort Ord, the Marina State Beach is best known for its winds. It can get really windy here making it popular among surfers, kite flyers, paragliders, and hang-gliders. Swimming, fishing, and picnicking are also commonly done and enjoyed by visitors at the site, although water recreation can be quite dangerous due to the strong currents.

Dogs aren’t allowed in the Marina State Beach, though. So, if you’re looking for a place to hang with your pet, this may not be the place for that kind of fun.
