The McGrath State Beach is a state park and protected beach in Oxnard, California. It is a very well received and reviewed park, loved by many tourists and locals alike.

Best known as a bird watching haven, the McGrath State Beach offers lush riverbanks of the Santa Clara River which attracts a fair amount of birds to it. Aside from this, visitors can also enjoy surfing, camping, and fishing at the site. You can also go swimming, although, caution is required as the currents can get very strong. It is also connected to the Santa Clara Estuary Natural Preserve and visitors can take a nature trail from the park to the preserve.

Sadly, the McGrath State Beach is currently closed indefinitely due to lack of funds.
