The Mendocino Headlands State Park is a state park in Mendocino, California. It offers a wide range of things to see and do.

Established in 1976 in efforts to quench the locals? agitation over the possibility of blufftop development, the Mendocino Headlands Park was created to conserve and preserve the natural area that surrounds the town of Mendocino. It is basically 347 acres of undeveloped seaside bluffs and islets, now popular for its great scenery, natural setting, and recreational activities. Visitors can go scuba diving, fishing, hiking, jogging, and even horseback riding at the site. Wildlife viewing is also popular, as there are tons of rare animals, including the winter migration of grey whale, which can be spotted at the site.

The Historic Ford House is also a part of the Mendocino Headlands State Park. It serves as the site?s Visitors Center.
