The Monterey State Historic Park is a state park and historic site in Monterey, California. It features and conserves the Monterey Old Town Historic District, which is a National Historic Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Monterey State Historic Park is basically a place where you can see a lot of historic houses and buildings that go back to the early days of Monterey, back when it was still California?s capital city. The park is home to 17 historic structures including the Custom House (which is also the site where the American flag was first raised in all of California), Cooper-Molera Adobe Complex, Colton Hall, Stevenson House, First Theater, California?s First Brick House, Casa Soberanes, Casa del Oro, Pacific House Museum, and the Old Whaling Company just to name a few.
