The Pacheco State Park is a state park and recreation area in Hollister, California. It is nestled between the Merced and Santa Clara counties.

The Pacheco State Park started from what was once the Rancho San Luis Gonzaga. The rancho was a 48,821 acre Mexican Land Grant awarded to Francisco Pacheco I 1843 and stayed in his family until the remaining lands were donated to the state by Pacheco?s great-great granddaughter, Paula M. Fatjo. The site now features 6,890 acres of land, although, 2600 acres are open to the public due to some safety concerns and an underdeveloped trail system.

Visitors of the Pacheco State Park can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, biking, picnicking, and wildlife viewing at the park. There are also some historic structures around the site from the original ranch.
