The Pacifica State Beach is a state park and protected beach in Pacifica, California. It is a popular surfing spot, mostly a place where beginners start to learn how to surf in the San Francisco area.

Also known among locals and surfers as the Linda Mar Beach as it fronts the Linda Mar subdivision, the Pacifica State Beach is the southernmost of Pacifica?s large beaches. It covers 0.75 miles and is crescent shaped, making it quite a nice view. It is also the first major beach located South of San Francisco.

Like most of North California beaches, Pacifica State Beach tends to suffer from unpredictable weather and cold waters. Surfers here need wet suits to play in the water, because of its temperature.
