The Pelican State Beach is a state park and protected beach in Smith River, California. It is located on the Oregon border, making it the northernmost California state beach. It is also largely undeveloped, providing visitors something that is an almost authentic natural experience.

The Pelican State Beach offers spectacular ocean views as its main selling point. The undeveloped site is ideal for beach combing, walking, fishing, kite flying, and picnicking. Sadly, due to its location, the fact that the site is undeveloped, and the general weather conditions of Northern California, swimming and other water related recreational activities are not allowed.

Covering five acres of area, the Pelican State Beach may not have facilities, but parking is available at the site.
