The Point Cabrillo Light Station is a state park and nature preserve in Mendocino, California. It features the Point Cabrillo Light and its surrounding area.
Located inside the Cabrillo National Monument, the Point Cabrillo Light Station is also quite a historic site. The lighthouse was built in 1909 and was named after Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, a Spanish explorer. The park still features all original and unaltered buildings, except for the small barn. It was transformed as a state park around the early 2000s.
Visitors of the Point Cabrillo Light Station can enjoy wildlife viewing and hiking at the park. The lighthouse is open all year round from 11 am to 4 pm, and the park is mostly available for day use.
