One of the most electrifying stadiums in the National Football League is the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. This multi-purpose sports and events arena is the home of the San Diego Chargers, or popularly known as “The Bolts”. The San Diego Padres also stayed here until 2003.

Qualcomm Stadium opened on August 20, 1967, making it one of the oldest original stadiums still in use. The stadium has hosted three Super Bowl Games in 1988, 1998 and 2003. For baseball, the stadium was the venue for 1984 and 1998 World Series. For the record, this is the only stadium to have hosted the Super Bowl and World Series in the same year (1998).

Aside from hosting football and baseball games, this 71,294-seater stadium also hosts the home games of the San Diego University Aztecs of NCAA football. The stadium has also been used in concerts, religious conventions, and as an emergency evacuation center during the 2007 California Wildfires incident.
