The Salinas River State Beach is a state park in Castroville, California. It is located between Santa Cruz and Monterey, on a cove that lies on the mouth of the Salinas River.

The Salinas River State Beach may offer a sandy beach setting, but it is not ideal for swimming or surfing. This is due to the commonly low temperatures and unpredictable waves. There are also no lifeguards on duty, making it extra dangerous to get in the harsh waters. The park is ideal for fishing, beachcombing, nature watching, hiking, wildlife viewing, and horseback riding, though.

Featuring a unique coastal dune system, the Salinas River State Beach is home to many species of birds like the American kestrel, red-tailed hawk, western snowy plover, western gull, black phoebe, California brown pelican, and western scrub-jay.
