Offering two out of the 3.5 miles of the city’s beach stretch, the Santa Monica State Beach is a very popular beach destination as it promises sunny days all throughout the year. Another popular draw of this site is its great history, being a summer spot for more than a century already. Among its top attractions are the world famous Santa Monica Pier and “Ink Well” which is a portion of the beach designated for African Americans.
