The Seacliff State Beach is a state park and beach in Aptos, California. It is a relatively popular beach, mostly because it is one of those beaches along Highway 1.

Located just outside the city of Santa Cruz, the Seacliff State Beach is a great alternative to crowded sites within the city. This draws in a good amount of people who want to try something new. However, its most popular attraction is the SS Palo Alto, which is a concrete ship located at the end of a pier. The ship used to be an amusement center ran by the Cal-Nevada Company, complete with a dance floor, caf?, heated swimming pool, and several carnival type concessions. However, the company got bankrupt quickly, so the ship was stripped. The ship was then used for fishing, like the pier. However, due to deterioration, it is now closed to the public.
