The Sunset State Beach is a state park and beach in Watsonville, California. It functions as a recreation area that is offering a pretty good amount of things to see and do.

With the historic Van Laanan farm as its backdrop, the Sunset State Beach is a great and less crowded summer destination. It offers camping, biking, swimming, fishing (although license is required), and picnicking opportunities. They have grills on the beach, and allow pets in the campground. They also have plenty of trees and mountainous sand dunes, adding to the overall charm and beauty of the place. Bottle nosed dolphins are also commonly found swimming in the waters.

Camping requires reservations well in advance, though, especially if you intend to take a trip during the summer.
