The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park is a state park in Aptos, California. It is best known for its hiking and biking trails, and is best marketed for its rugged semi-wilderness.

Established as a state park sometime in the 1960s, the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park is named after Nisene Marks, a nature lover. Her children donated the initial 9700 acres of its current 10,036 acres in her memory. Marks bought the land in the area from lumbers in hopes of finding oil.

The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park has a lot of things to offer. As mentioned earlier, it is most popular for hiking and biking, although mountain biking is already restricted to specific areas due to some deed limitations.
