The Tomo-Kahni State Historic Park is a state park and historic site in Tehachapi, California. It was created in 1993 as a means to preserve the site of the Kawaiisu (Nuooah) Village.
The Tomo-Kahni State Historic Park is named after the old village. Tomo-Kahni or ?Winter Village? offers views of the Sand Canyon and the Tehachapi valley. It is believed that the old inhabitants of the area chose it for its moderate temperature and rich environment.
Visitors of the Tomo-Kahni State Historic Park would need to reserve slots for tours to access the site. This is due to the extremely sensitive location of the area. Tours will involve moderately strenuous walks that will take 2 to 3 hours to complete.
