The Turlock Lake State Recreation Area is a state park and designed for outdoor recreation in LA Grange, California. It features the Turlock Lake and the rolling foothills of the San Joaquin Valley in the eastern part of the Stanislaus County.

Touted as an ideal place for week-long outings, the Turlock Lake State Recreation Area offers a wide range of activities. Visitors can go swimming at the lake, boating, fishing, picnicking, and wildlife viewing. Camping is also a very popular activity here with 63 campsites available equipped with a stove, piped drinking water, table, and food locker. Campers are also allowed, although, they should be 27 feet at most. The sites are also rich in blackberries, which attracts jam and pie makers.
