Formerly known as First Interstate Bank World Center and the Library Tower, the U.S. Bank Tower was the tallest building ever constructed in Los Angeles since the early 80’s. The skyscraper stands at 1,018 feet in the downtown area of Los Angeles, California. Today, it is the tenth tallest building in the United States and is the 47th*tallest skyscraper in the world.

With 73 stories, the building also has a heliport in its rooftop. The building’s architect, Henry N. Cobb, designed the building to withstand an earthquake magnitude of 8.3, considering that Los Angeles is a major active seismic area. The construction of the U.S Bank Tower cost $350 million, and today, it is one of the most popular buildings in the state of Los Angeles, and is often used as a location to shoot films and TV programs.
