The Van Damme State Park is a state park and recreation area in Little River, California. It offers 1831 acres of land area, available for a good deal of outdoor activities.
Named after Charles Van Damme who once owned the land of the site, the Van Damme State Park has a lot of draws that entices visitors from all over. For one, it has a magnificent Pygmy Forest, designated as a National Natural Landmark. It is also quite historic, once being under a small independent redwood lumber operation. It is also located just a couple of minutes away from Mendocino and Fort Bragg.
Visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, and picnicking at the site. Kayak tours are also available.
