The William B. Ide Adobe State Historic Park is a state park and historic site in Red Bluff, California. The site was created as a memorial to William Brown Ide.
Ide was a California pioneer. He settled in the new area in the mid 1800s in high hopes of great opportunities. He became most noted for being a captain of the Bear Flag Revolt and the only president of the California Bear Republic.
Although the site wasn?t exactly the property of Ide, it has been an important point during the times of Ide. He helped the area flourish, making it just fitting for it to become his memorial.
The William B. Ide Adobe State Historic Park has a museum where visitors can learn more about the site. It is also a good spot for fishing, hiking, and picnicking.
