The world’s oldest McDonald’s store is in Downey, California. It is the fourth McDonald’s location opened by the franchisees, Roger Williams and Bud Landon. Opened in 1953, it is still in operation today, making it the oldest venue this fast-food giant has.

There are quite a number of sights to see at the world’s oldest McDonald’s. Aside from getting the all-American food, visitors can also marvel at the original golden arches that is built in the structure. Also displayed here is a neon sign that is 60 feet in height that is featuring the first McDonald’s mascot, Speedee.

In the complex where the world’s oldest McDonald’s stand, people can also visit the gift shop and a mini museum that features the history of the planet’s largest fast-food chain.
