Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre houses the largest Aquarium in Canada making it one of the major tourist attractions of the country. The centre is run by a non-profit association that focuses on the conservation, education and research of marine animals. The aquarium serves as a habitat for more than 70,000 animals since 1956.

Visitors will have a real fun experience with the various services and amenities the marine centre offers. Different school programs are held in classrooms, wet lab and galleries. Featured programs are offered daily such as the Frog and Archerfish Feed, Amazon Critter Corner, Spotlight on Octopus, Touch Pools, Life of a Sea Turtle, Salmon Stream Tour, Wild Coast Critter Corner, Wet Lab Exploration and the Story Time.

Experience what it is like to train and feed the animals. Join the trainers and engage in close encounters with sea otters, sea turtles, beluga, dolphins and sea lions. During these activities, you will learn more about these animals and how they are able to survive.

The centre also features the Conservation in Action program that provides exciting games, lively videos and information showing the efforts of the researchers in Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre. This aims to save endangered Canadian species. Visitors are also given the opportunity to experience the virtual trip across the ocean with experts and search for rock fish while following divers underwater.
