The Adams County Museum is located in the charming grounds of the county right outside the city of Brighton. It has exhibits that give emphasis to the historical background of the area which include that of the culture of the native Americans, the early settlers of the place, and other replicas and discoveries of a particular blacksmith shop, a barber shop and a school.

Its exhibits are composed of permanent and special exhibits that change every once in a while. You can even get to buy a brick and have your name engraved on it or personal message as your way of preserving the legacy and heritage of your family. The Henderson House was donated to the historical society of the county in 1887.
